Overview
The Heat Pipe Demonstrator is a transparent educational apparatus that visually showcases the operation of a heat pipe, one of the most efficient passive heat transfer devices known. Students observe the evaporation of working fluid at the heated end and condensation at the cooled end in real time. The unit highlights the roles of the wick structure, vapour space, and working fluid in achieving extremely high effective thermal conductivities. It is widely used to explain two-phase heat transfer and passive thermal management in electronics and aerospace applications.
