Heat Transfer through Lagged Pipe

AEC-HTL-003

An apparatus to study radial heat conduction through concentric cylindrical lagging (insulation) materials.

#RadialConduction#CylindricalInsulation#LaggedPipe#ThermalInsulation
Calibration cert included 48-hr quote

Overview

The Heat Transfer through Lagged Pipe apparatus investigates radial heat conduction in a cylindrical geometry covered with lagging (insulating) material. A central heated rod is surrounded by concentric layers of different insulating materials, and temperature is measured at each radial position. The experiment allows determination of individual and combined thermal resistances of cylindrical layers, comparison of insulation efficiencies, and validation of the logarithmic temperature profile predicted by heat conduction theory for cylindrical systems.
