Computerized Single Cylinder 4 Stroke Petrol Engine with open ECU & EGR with Electric Brake Dynamometer
A computerised single cylinder petrol engine test rig with open ECU, EGR, and electric dynamometer for performance and emission studies.
Overview
The Computerised Single Cylinder 4 Stroke Petrol Engine test rig is equipped with an open Engine Control Unit (ECU) that allows full programmability of ignition timing, fuel injection timing and duration, and EGR rate. Coupled with an electric brake dynamometer, it enables measurement of torque, power, specific fuel consumption, and volumetric efficiency across the full speed-load map. The computerised data acquisition system automatically generates P-V diagrams, heat balance sheets, combustion analysis charts, and emission reports. This rig is ideal for undergraduate research, engine mapping, and studying the effects of alternative fuels and combustion strategies on spark-ignition engine performance.
