Overview
This test rig features a Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) petrol engine connected to an eddy current dynamometer with full ECU access. The MPFI system allows individual injector control, enabling study of sequential fuel injection, fuel trim, cold start enrichment, and knock control strategies that are standard in modern petrol engines. The system acquires and processes real-time data on fuel injection pulse width, ignition dwell, lambda sensor output, manifold absolute pressure, and exhaust gas composition. It is designed for advanced study of electronic engine management, emission reduction strategies, and fuel economy optimisation in modern SI engines.
