Overview
The Computerised Vapour Compression Refrigeration Trainer offers a complete data acquisition and analysis platform for the standard vapour compression refrigeration cycle. All temperatures and pressures are continuously logged by a PC-based system that automatically constructs the P-h diagram, calculates enthalpy changes, and reports COP, refrigerating effect, and compressor work. Students can change refrigerant load by varying the evaporator heater power, study the effect of condensing and evaporating temperatures, and explore the performance difference between ideal and actual cycles. The real-time P-h diagram plotting capability makes thermodynamic analysis intuitive and immediate.
