Overview
This advanced Humidification and Dehumidification Apparatus provides a comprehensive psychrometric study platform with multiple air treatment sections (cooling coil, steam humidifier, electric reheater, and chilled water dehumidifier) in a modular duct arrangement. Multiple air condition measurement points allow the student to follow the air state at each processing stage. Students design and verify air conditioning sequences for different comfort conditions, calculate energy balances for each process, and validate psychrometric chart predictions experimentally. The apparatus is particularly suited for advanced HVAC courses covering cooling load estimation, outside air mixing, and combined sensible and latent heat control.
