Overview
The Four Cylinder Four Stroke Diesel Engine Test Rig represents a standard truck or marine diesel engine configuration for advanced teaching and applied research. Coupled to a high-capacity eddy current or hydraulic dynamometer, the rig allows measurement of full-load and part-load performance over the complete speed range. Students generate power, torque, BMEP, and BSFC maps, perform heat balance analysis, and measure smoke opacity and exhaust emissions. The multi-cylinder platform is suitable for studying turbocharging, EGR, and after-treatment system effects, providing a comprehensive platform for diesel engine research.
